If you are considering buying a lavvo, there are a few things you should consider. Lavvos are both practical and comfortable, and give you the opportunity to have a social and enjoyable experience when you are out in nature. There is nothing like sitting around a fire in a warm and dry lavvo with family and friends.

Arctic Lavvo lavvos are easy to set up and are designed to be used all year round. Due to their weight, our lavvos are often used as a permanent campsite or when using a vehicle to move around.

Remember to choose the right size
Our lavvos come in different sizes, and the size is stated in terms of the number of people it is intended for. This is the number of people who can sit in the lavvo. If you fill the lavvo completely, there will not be much room for equipment.

When choosing the size of the lavvo, you must therefore consider how many people will be on the trip. Remember to calculate some extra space in the lavvo for equipment. If you are four people on a trip, a lavvo size 4-6 or 8-10 is perfect. Then you will have room for accessories such as a stove, equipment, dog and firewood. Many people choose a lavvo over a tent precisely because of the possibilities of lighting a fire or stove and having standing height, so remember to make sure there is enough space to use it in the way you want.

Our lavvoes
Although all of our lavvos are made from the same materials, they differ in some details and how they are designed. We mainly have three types of lavvos:

1. Venor Traditional Lavvo ; is almost identical to the lavvo that the Sami have used for hundreds of years. Uses wooden poles as a framework and comes with both traditional door solutions and more modern zipper doors. Best suited for permanent campsites.
2. Venor Lavvo ; is a modern take on the traditional lavvo. Here the framework is made of aluminum poles with simple click connections instead of wooden poles and comes with a zipper door. It is well suited for both permanent campsites and a more mobile outdoor life.
3. Venor Single Pole Lavvo ; has a center pole instead of a framework of poles. This reduces the weight of the lavvo and makes it super easy to set up. Great for when you move around the campsite often.

Pipe passage and a rain cap are standard on all our lavvos. Other small details such as adjustment options for guylines and plug attachments, practical fastening devices for the guylines and the like are not essential for the lavvo to function, but are still standard for our lavvos. These are solutions that make it practical, easier and safer for you to set up and use our lavvos.

All our lavvos have a canvas made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester, it is rot-resiistant and impregnated. This makes the canvas waterproof and at the same time breathable. The indoor climate in the lavvo is thus better compared to lavvos made of waterproof ripstop material or PVC canvases, as our canvas lets moisture out instead of closing off condensation and humid air inside the lavvo. All lavvos also have the option of an inner canvas, a bottom canvas and heating with a campfire and a tent stove.
