In March 2022, the request came, he wanted a lavvo with a door that was easy to use. At the same time, it had to withstand heavy loads from wind and snow, the solution was to create the first lavvo with an arched door.

Arched door
Arched doors are often used by those who need a tent that will withstand extra heavy loads. The door solution means that the storm edge runs uninterrupted around the entire tent and can therefore withstand rough weather better than tents that have zippers that go all the way down to the ground. We have never sewn a lavvo with this solution as the arched door was designed for Venor Gamme.

From idea to product
"The idea when I ordered was that the door should be easy to get back in. Even when the lavvo had been standing with a lot of snow on it. Furthermore, a door that was easy to open and close during the day." - Richard

We threw ourselves into the task and sewed the first lavvo with an arched door and a vent for better air flow. In addition, a window was placed by the door, which the customer himself believes was "perfect for letting in light and a window to nature."

Surprisingly functional
Easter was the dress rehearsal, and the lavvo got its first test. "This worked great all Easter. The door was easy to open and we only used the zipper at night. With a rod that extended the door, this was a definite improvement." -Richard
