Arctic Lavvo of Kautokeino AS has produced the Venor PopUp in our own shop in Kautokeino in 2024 and 2025. We believe we have developed and created a unique pop-up tent with sizes that no one else has, and with our own PolyCotton fabric that is both breathable and highly water-repellent, something that no one else uses.

Venor PopUp is a technically demanding product to produce, which means that it takes a lot of time per tent, and therefore the price of production in Norway is higher than we would like. We want Venor PopUp to have a price level that allows more people to enjoy it, and therefore we have made an important and strategic choice: From 2026, the production of Venor PopUp will be moved to our new partner in China.

This gives us several advantages:
- We avoid price increases: Customers still get Venor PopUp at a competitive price.
- More value included: We have used the shift to further develop the tent, and in 2026 customers will get even more features included in the price.
- Shorter delivery time: Throughout 2025, the delivery time for our products has been over three months. With freed up resources in Norway, we can focus on our core production – Venor Gamme and various lavvo models – and at the same time reduce delivery time considerably.
More functionality – same price
The new model comes with several items included in the price:
- Bottom that fastens with a zipper - less drafts and fewer reptiles entering the tent
- Mosquito door - for ventilation without insects
- Mosquito net for windows - perfect for extra ventilation on hot summer days
- Window blinds - if a window breaks in the field, you can replace the window with a blind.
- 12.5 mm fiberglass rods for extra strength (previously we had 12 mm)
-
Pipe penetration in fireproof material that can be expanded to the pipe thickness of your stove
This means that in 2026 Venor PopUp will be even more robust, flexible and user-friendly – while customers get more for their money.

The factory in China
We have found a small factory in China that focuses on quality tents in low volumes and they produce almost only tents with PolyCotton fabric, which we also do. With similar values and the same production method, we feel that we are a good match. They only have around 25 employees in production and our contact person is also the owner of the factory. In April 2025, he visited us in Kautokeino, and we have been invited to visit the factory, which we hope we will be able to do when they start producing our tents. Even though the distance is long, we have good dialogue with weekly team meetings, where we experience that it is a short distance from decision to execution.
Watch the video where we talk to Geir GÃ¥sland about this initiative and where Anders, our general manager, talks about this shift.
Focus on core production
By moving the production of Venor PopUp to our partner, we free up capacity here in Kautokeino to focus on our core production: Venor Gamme and our various lavvo models. These are products we are proud to produce ourselves, and which represent the heart of our business.

👉 We are convinced that this shift is positive for both our customers and for us. You get more tent for your money, shorter delivery times and the peace of mind that we continue to deliver quality and innovation – just as you expect from Arctic Lavvo.
