Where the greatest stress and wear occurs, it is sewn with double stitching. As a lock for the belly straps, we have used a plastic quick-release fastener. The strap length can be adjusted. Laika Originalkløv has a sewn-in and adjustable neck piece that allows the kløv to be placed directly on the dog without the use of a collar. The kløv is reinforced with split leather, which makes the product soft and very durable; in fact, the kløv is virtually indestructible with normal use. Laika Originalkløv is equipped with two straps under the belly for extra stability.

Size

Measure your dog across the back, from elbow to elbow. The deepest ends of the hoof pouches are here, and you will get a good idea of ​​how far down the hoof will reach on each side of your dog. If you are in doubt about which size to get, get the smallest. The volume of the Laika hoof is measured in liters, and is made with a large volume. It can be tightened using a strap that comes with it. This is also important in some cases to lift the hoof out from the side of the dog, so that it does not gnaw. Washing instructions

As a rule, wiping the cleft with a damp cloth is sufficient.

Occasionally, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary, in which case the clog should be hand washed at 30° and drip dried. The leather can be treated with petroleum jelly.

How much can a dog carry?

A dog reaches its full size and weight after about 1 1/2 years. However, it does not achieve its full physical and mental strength until after 3-4 years. Therefore, one must be careful about burdening the dog during the first years it uses a sled. One should not exceed 1/3 of the dog's normal weight in load before the dog is 2 years old. The load should be increased gradually from the dog's 2nd year.

Dogs are actually a little stronger to carry than humans, relative to their body weight. It is difficult to give general guidelines on how much a dog can carry, as with humans there are individual differences from dog to dog on how much they should carry.
